TINYpulse Tips: How to manage industry benchmarks

Ever wanted to compare apples to apples with other organizations that are within the same industry as your own? Now you can with Industry Benchmarks. We understand the value of understanding where your company fits within the spectrum of a competitive environment. This is exactly why we developed a way for you to see exactly how you stack up against companies that share the same industry as your own. Be it healthcare, technology, marketing or finance, we've got a plethora of industry options to choose from. 

Selecting your industry

We've already selected a default industry for you, however if you feel there is another industry that better fits your organization, you are welcome to change it as you see it fit. In order to protect the integrity of the benchmarks, admins are only enabled to change their industry designation one time. If you need to update your industry more than once, please contact your Customer Success Manager or email us at happiness@tinypulse.com. You'll continue to see the TINYpulse benchmark -indicated by the light blue bar- which is an average of all organiziations that use TINYpulse. 

Your industry can be changed by using the industry dropdown menu located on the Account page within Settings.   

By clicking on the dropdown menu under the industry label, you can choose an industry that your organiziation best fits. There are several to choose from so feel free to ask us if you have any questions about which industry your company fits in. Select the industry you prefer then click Update Account to finalize your selection. Please note that only Super Admins and Admins can change an organization's industry. Managers and Viewer admin roles are not enabled to do so. 

Now that you've updated your industry, your future surveys will show your updated Industry Benchmark. We'll retain your previous industry designation for past survey results and your new industry will only apply for TINYpulses going forward. 

Now you're all set with your updated Industry Benchmark! You can now start to see the benefits of measuring your success against simliar organiziations using TINYpulse. Let us know your thoughts by emailing us at happiness@tinypulse.com!
