TINYpulse surveyed more than 250 self-identified on-demand workers  those who work for services like Uber or Instacart — to evaluate how they feel about their jobs.  We spoke to a diverse sample of on-demand workers, including people of all educational backgrounds and income levels, and found that:

  • 60% of on-demand workers want a pay increase
  • On-demand workers are significantly less happy than traditional workers
  • Workers who could not find a job outside the on-demand world were significantly less happy than other on-demand workers
  • A majority say that they do not want to join a labor union
