unknownCongrats to One Click Ventures for winning the 2015 TINYpulse Employee Recognition Award in the Ecommerce / Retail industry.

Because One Click Ventures does such a great job recognizing their employees, we just had to ask them how they work their magic. Their CEO, Randy Stocklin, shared with us how One Click Ventures keeps their employees happy.

1) Tell us about some of the great things you do in your workplace that keep employees engaged and energized.

At One Click, our people matter most to us. We work hard as a team to create an environment that everyone truly enjoys with perks such as an on-site gym, game room, team-building events, free breakfast and healthy snacks, and open spaces for people to socialize and hold more casual meetings.

However, while these perks are appreciated by our team and help everyone build stronger relationships across the organization, this is not how we are building a winning culture. We’ve focused on building a winning culture by hiring the best people, providing unmatched support, and rewarding team members for delivering results.

We have focused on assembling the best ecommerce team in the industry. We believe that high-caliber talent needs to be continually energized and challenged. As a result, we allot every team member a professional development budget that can be used towards conferences and training programs. Every leader at One Click has a Team Happiness budget they are free to use as they see fit.

2) Tell us a little bit about what your company does and why employee recognition is so important to you.

One Click Ventures is a leading eyewear company that owns and operates three brands: Readers.comSunglassWarehouse.com, and felix + iris. Together, we're working to redefine the way people buy glasses. Our people-first culture is grounded in our core values, which embody the highest standards of ethics and integrity and reflect what is truly important to us as a company.

We hire top talent and have a culture of working hard to achieve daily wins. With a vision of redefining the way people buy eyewear and a goal of disrupting the marketplace, we recognize the importance of rewarding our people for their successes.

We empower each of our team members—throughout all levels of the organization—to act like an owner. They are encouraged to ask questions, propose new processes and become fully invested in the future of One Click. Without our people, One Click would not be a success.

3) What kind of improvements/changes have you seen in your culture after using TINYpulse?

Feedback from TINYpulse has led to us assess big-picture and daily aspects of our business. For example, we listened to the feedback from our team members, evaluated our core values, and changed one from “Innovation” to “Think Big.” We also bought a grill for the office based on a suggestion.

Thank you to Randy and his team at One Click Ventures for sharing his story! Keep an eye out for more interviews with TINYpulse award winners.
