Once a month, we ask employees at over 500 companies around the world how happy they are at work. We separated each company into 14 different industries then calculated the average happiness score for each organization.
For this award, we analyzed the results by calculating the average happiness score for each company in the different industries to find out winners.
About The Edge Learning Center
The Edge Learning Center is a Hong Kong- and China-based learning center to provide students support for both their academic and life choices. They help students get into the best-of-the-best schools through mentoring, coaching, and educating.
We got a chance to speak with the team to go behind the scenes of the organization to find out what makes The Edge Learning Center one of the best places to work.
Q: What was the funniest recognition you’ve ever received?
A: We cut a certain free cracker to our clients because we felt they were too unhealthy. The next week we got at least three complaints in our complaint boxes about demanding the cracker's return.
Q: What was the happiest moment at work?
Q: What kind of fun activities does your company participate in?
A: We did a company Escape Room event which was awesome because we had tons of staff trying tocollaboratively figure out how to get out of a puzzle room through deciphering clues. The smartest colleagues were less smart than they thought!
Q: What is the one thing that every company can do to make their employees happier?
A: Align their incentives and their compensation with personal and company objectives. When the employees can earn and grown with the company, then both parties work together far better.
Q: If you could describe your work culture in three words, what would they be?
A: Demanding, Inspiring, Collaborative.
