Once a month, we ask employees at over 500 companies around the world how happy they are at work. We separated the companies into 14 different industries then track the average happiness score for each organization.
About Networking Results

Networking Results has been providing the Dallas and Fort Worth Metro area with IT services since 2001. Their company's vision is to make a positive difference for the community, and that all starts with building an organizational culture that keeps employee engagement top of mind. Why? When employees are happy, that positive energy spreads to the customers.
We got a chance to speak with the team to go behind the scenes of the organization to find out what makes Networking Results one of the best places to work. Let's see what they had to say.

Q: What was the funniest recognition you’ve ever received?
A:
Q: What was the happiest moment at work?
A: The day the Otis Spunkmeyer cookie machine showed up! We have fresh, hot cookies almost every day for our afternoon snack. It's the best!
Or the day the boss brought his big Doberman to work. That was pretty cool too! (He liked the cookies also, but don't tell the boss:-))
Q: What kind of fun activities does your company participate in?
A: Our company is definitely not a boring place to work. I feel like the people and the environment bring a certain amount of joy into the workplace every day that transfers to everything we do. We have an annual picnic that includes camping, campfires, games, activities, great food, and great fun.
A couple times a year, our inner-warrior breaks free and a Nerf war ensues. In our monthly staff meetings, there's always laughter, someone usually ends up with candy, and there's a spirit of camaraderie and community.
My favorite is that we have volunteered numerous times with community outreaches. I've had the opportunity to take my wife and my children, and there's nothing more fun than whistling while you work with people you care about toward a goal that benefits another person. Working at an outreach to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter, performing repairs, or yard work on a person’s home, buying gifts for someone that otherwise might not have any — I find those things very enjoyable.
Q: What is the one thing that every company can do to make their employees happier?
A: We find that the best way to make employees happier at work is to listen to them and to be available to them. We're always open to new ideas and feedback, and TINYpulse has helped us tremendously to that end.
We're always trying to seek to understand what our employees want and what makes them happiest in the workplace. Every week during our manager's meeting, we go over our TINYpulse results and discuss how to improve the company culture. It's been a game-changer in how we easily gather feedback, communicate, and seek input. This input allows us to be better managers, which in turn creates an atmosphere of teamwork, camaraderie, and cohesion.

Q: If you could describe your work culture in three words, what would they be?
A: When asked, our employees said "fun" because we always have something crazy going on, whether it's March Madness, Fantasy football, or just a good ole Nerf war!

They also used the word "family oriented." We want all of our employees to have that ever-elusive balance in their lives, so we make opportunities to spend quality time with family. We also treat each other like family (in a good way!). We genuinely like spending time with one another.
And finally we are friendly! We are a Texas company after all, y'all! We strive to make our clients feel like they are the cream of the crop (because they are)!
