We got a chance to speak with the team to go behind the scenes of the organization to find out what makes Freight FIrst one of the best places to work. Let's see what they had to say.
Q: What was the funniest recognition you’ve ever received?
A: Our company received nationwide coverage when we appeared on Channel 4’s The Last Leg off of the back of a site visit by George Osbourne.
Q: What was the happiest moment at work?
A: Our happiest moment was when we had a record month during our most successful year in 2014. We have been around since 2000, but we took the business to a whole new level in that year which set the tone for the future of our business. This success had come from hard work, but more importantly, from the creative minds we employ, and the very, very personable approach we take to our new and current customer base.
Q: What kind of fun activities does your company participate in?
A: We have ROOM2, which is a break room for staff. It has a gym, pool table, table tennis, playstation, DVDs, darts board, and a lounge area.
Q: What is the one thing that every company can do to make their employees happier?
A: Don’t try to please employees because it is very easy to make people happy by providing things which they expect from a good employer. But instead, you should aim to wow your staff! Be creative in recognition, reward, and praise, and you will get incredible loyalty and extremely happy employees.
