Music. It has an interesting effect on people. When you hear a song, you have a tendency to associate it with a specific memory.
Are managers only working to get by? Maybe they’re putting in all of their effort. Or perhaps they’re just under a ton of pressure. Whatever answer your employee chooses, you can parse their perception of your leadership team.
A mariachi band suddenly walks into your office. What do your coworkers do?
Do people think their colleagues will join in on the party? Maybe they will chase the band out. Depending on how extreme their reaction is assumed to be, this question gives great insight into how your employee sees their coworkers. It tells you if they enjoy working with them, if they are intimidated by them, or if they flat-out just don’t like them.
At first glance, these questions might be seen as completely absurd. But there’s a method to the madness. Fun and lively questions like these will catch your employees off guard and will help prevent survey fatigue. Plus, they'll also brighten up their workday.
