TINYpulse Tips: Sending Private Messages

We love engaging with our clients and their staff on an ongoing basis so we can keep a "pulse" on how we're doing and how we can continually improve. One of our most popular features is Private Message, and this came from direct feedback from clients.

In a nutshell, the client wanted to be able to address responses that the staff left. So they approached us with the idea of creating a private message feature to communicate between management and employees (with respondent remaining anonymous). These private messages are relayed via email through TINYpulse to facilitate constructive dialogue and engagement. From our experience, this has created a significant impact for managers who have used this feature.

You can private message anyone who enters a qualitative response to the TINYpulse weekly question or virtual suggestion. To do this, just click "Take an action" and select "Send Private Message" from the drop-down menu. 

To send a private message, click 'Send Private Message" within the drop down menu. A box will appear for you to type your message to the respondent.

The person who submitted the original response will then receive an email message notifying them that they've received a private message. They then have the opportunity but not the obligation to respond.

If they click the link, they'll be taken to a page that displays their original comment, the private message, and a text box for them to reply to you. This dialogue can continue for as many back and forth messages as needed.

Please note private messages do not appear in the shared TINYpulse view. Try it out and let us know about the impact it has on you and your team.
